Antonio Brown; Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Antonio Brown

Antonio Browns of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers startled the NFL world with a stunning mid-game departure against the New York Jets on Monday morning. The biggest surprise occurred after the game when coach Bruce Arians dropped a bombshell in a press conference.

Fox The NFL’s Jay Glazer stated that he spoke with Arians after the game and that the Tampa Bay coach informed him that he tried to bring Brown back into the game but that he refused. It capped off a tumultuous morning for the Buccaneers on Monday. The Buccaneers, who were anticipated to handily defeat the Jets, found themselves in an unexpected position.

Last year’s Super Bowl victors, who won by a late 28-24 score, were behind 24-10 when Brown abruptly removed his gear, hurled his shirt and gloves into the stands, and sprinted off the field. Officials in Tampa Bay allegedly had no idea why Brown went, despite claims that he had been benched previous to the outburst. However, ESPN’s Jenna Laine was told that this did not occur, with sources stating that “he quit.”

Brown, according to Laine, will not be traveling home on the team jet. Brown’s actions were so surprising that security sought to interfere, mistaking him for a streaker. Brown was just in his second game back after serving a three-game ban for breaching the NFL’s Covid-19 regulations by getting a forged immunization card.
